Tulip's Tantrums

Pōpa wasn't home last weekend for Father's Day, so we had a bbq yesterday in honour of him and Braunt. We set up a paddling pool for the kids. They had a blast. Jax had fun chasing them and playing with his ball. The steaks Darrin marinated and Braunt cooked were exquisite. Along with Darrin's famous potatoes, some yummy asparagus and super garlic bread, it was amazing. In the morning, Pōpa and I went out to Lamont. It was their annual Perogy Festival and we went to the parade. It was so much fun watching Ariya run out to get the candy, and wave her little Canada flag at the participants. She made out very well - 1/2 an IGA bag of candy! We adults got little festival pins. It was very nice. I met with an old school friend, Denize, today. It was so nice to see her again. She is so beautiful and seems to have not aged at all. Amazing! She sells Partylight and I need some candles, so she also brought out some books and the candle line to smell.

What a dreary day it is outside. We're supposed to get wind up to 100 km/h and as much as 25mm of rain. That's a lot of water! Hopefully nothing comes of it. Anyway, today's a good day to stay indoors with some soup in front of the fireplace. Sadly, I likely won't be doing that ... Gator is sick. Gator's 16. He's off his food, sneezing until he brings up blood, he's sleeping more than usual (even more than a typical cat), his coat is horrible and he's losing weight. Not good signs. The Good: Darrin, the kids, the grandbabies, the pets and I are all doing well. Peanut and Bean are growing like weeds. Hendrix is quickly catching up on weight to Ariya. He doesn't look chunky, just solid. Breanna is such a good Mommy ... she does so many things with the kids. Yesterday it was the Lamont town-wide garage sale. They got some great deals on both toys and clothes. Bre can find a deal anywhere. Plans for Drey and Joanna's wedding are coming along. Jo took her dress in for alterations. It was HUGE on her and needed to be taken in just about everywhere. My dress fits well and just needed to be hemmed. Kennda's, Kier's and Breanna's only need a hem too. Savannah's is likely going to be perfect as she's got a few inches on all of us. Sadly Josh won't be able to attend the due to prior work commitments.
