Know Your Place

Do you know your place in all aspects of your life? There are some places I'm at that I'm very aware of and confident in the role I play. Others are very foggy and hazy places; old, musty corners that reach out of the recesses of my imagination to take on a seemingly real form. Sad places. It's taken almost 40 years, but I've finally learned where I've been placed. I am still not ackowledged. I am still ignored. I am still not called. I am still alone. No one. Nothing. It's taken almost 40 years, but I've finally learned where I truly place. My family and friends love and support me in all I do. I'm often alone but never lonely. I am an important someone. I love and am loved. In my heart, I feel the glow of your smile. It's all okay now. No more. Today started much too early; it will be long. Breathe.
