Reading the Sunday morning newspaper can bring out a plethora of thoughts and emotions.
- Sounds like Inkfest is going well. We like tattoos in our family. I do encourage our kids not to get anything done on a part of your body that is easily shown. I guess that part of me is old school - tats aren't part of the boardroom yet. I think that sleeves are gorgeous, but just not for me. I realize I don't really have any say in this, but encourage them all to wait a couple years until they start colouring everything.
- A fire near Commonwealth Stadium sent a woman to hospital. She isn't cooperating with police. The message that sends to me is she's involved in some form of illegal activity. Perhaps I'm wrong, but what other reason would keep you from assisting authorities.
- Further, let's assume these people are involved in less than desirable things. Why the hell do neighbours allow their names to be published in the paper??? Is there not a possibility of repercussions? I would be like the lady at the bottom of the article who did not want to be identified.
- I look at the Sunshine girl almost every day, to check out what "they" think is sexy right now. I'm a little tired of the bony, fake boobed gals who "love playing with their snakes and walking their dogs and hope to become a model". Give me a break. There have been a couple of nice looking ladies, dressed not conservatively, but also not with 2" of cloth covering their chachas. I really liked the hockey mom week. Today's gal is very beautiful too, with her natural petite figure and incredibly flowing locks. All the best to Olga in the Miss Universe Canada pageant.
- Plastic bag tax. Ireland currently has a $0.20 tax on plastic bags, and Edmonton is looking at something similar in an effort to cut down on the bags used. Would I quit using plastic bags at that cost? Most definitely yes. We have the grocery bins and some reusable bags, and I always bring bags that we've used previously - but only when we shop at Stupidstore or Lost$co. My bags are always in the trunk, but I never think to bring them into a different store to reuse.
- Crime crime crime.
That's all for today.
Toodles!
