She swallowed the spider to catch the fly ...

Changed a couple things on my profile, one of which was the spider comment.

How are things in your world? Things here are forever changing yet somehow staying the same. Some new things are:

  • Happy b-day to Uncle S on his 28th. We drove up there last night through wicked conditions, but it was nice to see everyone. Uncle R and Auntie K were there with their 3 munchkins. The other R&K combination were there sans children. Grampa and Grandma were there for a bit, but then Grandma wasn't feeling well so they left. Uncle R brought B with him and one of Uncle S' co-workers was there too. Auntie K did a great job of everything and a good time was had by all.
  • Football is finished for the year, except for the team's game, and after the banquet we will have a little bit of spare time to just be.
  • Halloween is on Tuesday. I'm dressing up as a witch to see all the kidlets' as we hand out candy at my work.
  • Our two December b-days come up quickly after that, followed by Christmas and New Years.
  • Then b-days, anniversaries, graduations and more start all over again.

What is new with your group? Anything exciting coming up? I would love to hear from anyone (relatives, friends, stalkers) with your news or a link to your blog.

I got caught up on some of the news from down east when last I spoke with my Nana. Sounds like all is pretty good - everyone's healthy, working, vacationing, growing, living, loving. That is so good to hear.

Something else that's new is that I am looking at changing places of employment right now. Don't get me wrong - I very much love where I work and the people I work with; it is one of the most amazing places I've ever worked. Our team of 4 takes care of a whole bunch of fantastic people, which keeps us on our toes and makes the days pass so very quickly. While I rise to challenges and love to constantly better myself, additional duties can eventually become overwhelming - which is where I find myself - with just not enough me to go around leaving me feeling burned out. I had a fantastic evaluation with my boss on Friday and felt horrible when I ended it with the news that I cannot see myself as part of the team any longer. I have applied for some different jobs, have gone to interviews, have heard back from one and am waiting to hear from others.

Well, that's all for now. I've got a costume to whip up, some witch makeup to figure out, and get ready for tomorrow.

Toodles!
