Well the vacation was amazing. The resort was great, the staff were incredible. We came home feeling pampered and relaxed. Here's a copy of my review.
We missed the kids and Ariya while we were away and kept in contact through texts and Skype. We had to go to the lobby or pool for good internet, but we made it work. Ariya got so excited when she saw Opa that she kicked the computer and turned it off! LOL
Did you follow the election and NDP's sweep of our province? People are were so pissed off at Prentice and his budget and calling an early election; I'm sure many felt they had no choice. I, for one, had a difficult time deciding. I've been a PC since I started voting many moons ago. While I haven't always agreed with what they've said and done, nothing was really that bad to change my mind. Well, there are a number of things the PC's have pissed me off about in the 3 years. The budget and early election were the icing on the cake. I was (am) so angry that it caused me to really re-think my opinions and beliefs about our government. I will not for the NDP. They're a bunch of socialists who want to take our money and give it to the poor, so we're all equal. Darrin works damn hard for his money. We're already taxed so much. Why the hell would we want to lose more to give money to some bum sitting on his ass collecting welfare? I also won't vote for any of the wacked out, smaller parties. That leaves PC and Wildrose. Well, I may have thought about voting Wildrose except that they started out their platform with wanting to implement 2-hour parking at the front of hospitals. Fucking nut cases. So I was stuck with our PC candidate. I figure better the devil you know that the one you don't, right? So for the next 3 years, we're going to have to deal with the majority has decided. Suck it up and move on.
We had a scare with little Lucy a few weeks back. She got very lethargic and her urine was a rust colour. We got her in to see Dr. Hee who informed us she has liver disease. He kept her overnight on and I.V. to hydrate her. She was back to her lively self the next day. She's on a special food and medication, but we should have a long while left with her.
Otherwise everything is good. Critters are healthy, kids are healthy and happy. All around good. I'm thankful this is the case and hope we have nothing go wrong.
Toodles!
