RIP Lucy

It is with great sadness and a broken heart that I let you know Lucy passed away at noon on Tuesday, May 19the, after a brave bout with liver disease. Lucy was always a joy in our home. From the time we got her and put her in a cup to show how little she was until she was a full grown 4 1/2 lbs, she was a good dog. Welcomed people to our home, sat with them for lovings, comforted them and passed on her love. She will be so very missed. She's at peace now.

We went to the farm yesterday for a January to May birthday bash. It was nice getting together with everyone. Beersbee, bocce, football and baseball were played, and the kids had a blast going down the redneck water slide. Even Ariya got in on the fun by going down and then playing in puddles.

Drey and Joanna are moved in now, although they still have a few things to bring over from their old place. I'm excited to have them here and know we're helping them buy a house. Makes me feel kind of warm and fuzzy.

Tyler and Kiershyn just celebrated their second year anniversary (for going out, not marriage). They went to Jasper and had a great time. Unfortunately, they got a HUGE rock chunk on their windshield. That will be a lot to get changed. :/

Braunt and Bre are doing well. They bought a new trailer and have been camping every second weekend. Bre's parents have an older 5th wheel and truck, and they've agreed to loan it to us for the weekend. We're going to head up to Floating Stone lake on the 29th. It will be nice to have a couple days of "roughing it".

Darrin's a hurting unit today. He golfed with Drey early in the morning yesterday and then participated in all the activities up at the farm. His back and shoulder are screwed and he's treating himself with Tylenol, Aleve and A-535. Hopefully he gets some relief soon.

I'm hurting a bit too, but it's from chronic bursitis in my hip. Ibuprofen and Aleve are supposed to be best for it, but I can't take them with my stomach. So I'm on Tylenol Arthritis, which doesn't do very much. Such is life.

Toodles!
