Sorry for the rambling of the first couple posts - just excited to get things going - and had too many things going through my mind at once.
Today's been an interesting day. Football is a big part of our lives (with coaches and trainers and players and fans living under this roof), so that was this morning's activity for the dadums and the youngest. They enjoy themselves so much and it's nice for them to spend time together. I went to an auction in the city because they had a tv that dadums wanted and thought might go lower. So, with debt slice in hand, off I went. After arriving at 10:15, I sat through numerous amounts of ornaments, dishes, pinatas and ashtrays only to spend $17 (plus 17% - 10% buyers tax and GST) on a bunch of crap I really didn't need (nor want). Oh, but I got sucked into the 'craze' of the buying frenzy - plus I had this little man beside me egging me on and trying to get me to bid on crystal! Anyway, the tv still had a bit of warranty, was valued at $3600 (not sure where they get their prices from) and ended up going for $2150 - way too much, which was too bad because the disappointment in our dadums' voice was very apparent. After spending 5 hours and about $30 I decided the prices of the furniture were going up quicker than my debt slice's limit and there was really no reason for me to come home with 2 white linen sofas, an elephant coat rack and some pygmy phallus vases, so I paid for my purchases and headed home.
Upon arriving home I learned I should have stayed away. One of the inhabitants of the house (who has threatened me with slander and bodily harm if I identify said person), is not in a very good mood because said person chose to stay out WAY past said person's curfew (regardless of who's mom was supposed to but didn't show, the creepy taxi guy and your friend walking from here and the creep staying outside for 10 minutes) ... and didn't get to bed until late and doesn't really get enough sleep. ANYWAY I am not allowed to write anything about this person and I understand I also wrecked this person's life by not allowing said person to go out to any camp outs and also made said person get up at 9AM. And my mom used to say, "One day you'll have kids..."
Well, I have spent my alloted 7.43 minutes on the computer and am being pre-empted by homework, friends, MSN, research and the 'only decent music in the house'.
Hope your weekend has been good. Oh, I wanted to pass along some congrats: To all three sets of new dadumses and momumses - great job! Congrats to R&K and S&K on your upcoming anniversaries, to the Dr on his upcoming 16th, to J&C on their wedding in August, and to my beloved friend PB (PEANUT BUTTER!) on her new pup and her b/day in August! Oh - happy bday to the grandMomums yesterday - she looks great!
Toodles for tonight.
