Zinger and Zang are in their toddler stage heading quickly to teens. They are into absolutely everything! They were neutered last week and came home with instructions for us to keep them from running and jumping for 3 days. They didn't make it 3 minutes. They all over and feel that they are supposed to protect us from any noise in the house as well as anything near us. Quite the comical little pair.
Our 30th wedding anniversary is coming up next week. We're doing supper with the family next Sunday, so that will be nice. Our gift to each other is a trip to Las Vegas at the end of April. We're quite excited about it. We've been making plans for a bunch of things: Secret Garden with the tigers and dolphins. Flamingos at our hotel. The Eiffel Tower. A topless burlesque show (ACK! lol). The High Roller ferris wheel. The Shark Reef Aquarium. Cirque du Soleil's Xumanity. A road trip to check out some ghost towns. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Meals at various locales. So many things! It's going to be a full 5 days that's for sure. It will be nice for Darrin to have a break; he definitely works hard for it.
Braunt, Breanna, Ariya, and Hendrix just got back from a trip to Disneyland! They had an amazing time. Ariya was enthralled with the princesses. Hendrix LOVED the Cars part. I think it only could've been better for him if it was Paw Patrol. They went on a whale watching tour and saw whales and dolphins. I guess the kids were just amazed. Mimi and Papa went with them, so that was very nice. At the end of the trip, they went to Palm Springs to stay a day or two with Mimi and Papa. On the way home, they were supposed to have a 3-hour layover in Vancouver. Because of the grounding of the 737 Max 8's, their layover turned into 7 hours. 7 hours in an airport with a 5-year-old and 3-year-old is so much fun, said no one ever. Bre was very prepared to keep them entertained, which I'm sure saved their sanity a little. They made it home safe and sound. That's all that matters.
Speaking of the Bowing 737 Max 8, I immediately checked our plane to Vegas when I heard about the tragic Ethiopian crash. Of course, they're all grounded now, but I wanted to check as I would most definitely have changed to a different plane.
