It's been 3 whole days without a post - I feel so full! Time to empty my thoughts and allow the rants to flow...
Have you ever noticed how some people just don't get it? You try to give subtle hints about something that your friend/lover/mother/sibling/whomever really needs to figure out, but the person can't see past the nose on his own face? It is so difficult when that person snaps at you and doesn't even realize it so can't apologize. Or brushes you off with a p.o.'d expression or roll of the eyes. You just get to the point where you don't want anything to do with him/her and you pull completely away, allowing him/her to wallow in his misery while seeking company with those more like-minded. What you really want to say is, "Smarten up and get your act together! It's going to affect more than just you in the near future!" Will he/she get it? Probably not.
Onto other things - do you do any online shopping or do you just snoop out the good prices and then go to the store? I have been known to do both. It really depends on the mood I'm in, the weather, cash flow, all those things. If you are a bargain shopper (moi aussi) then check out this website for used stuff - kind of like a giant garage sale online. The particular ad that link goes to is for the funkiest looking bunnies! I don't believe I've ever seen them before - they're sure interesting!
As any of you who really know me know, I love bargains. Now, I could probably save a lot more money by just not buying anything, but where would be the fun in that? So, where do you go to save money? Just about anywhere so long as you know where to look and don't get snaggled in by some of the good things on the aisle. However the truly best places are thrift shops and second hand stores. There are so many good ones around Edmonton and area, and you simply can't go wrong when you can save such an amazing amount of money!
Did I tell you I locked my keys in my car? Oh yeah! I had a bunch of stuff with me Tuesday morning so when I got to work, I started getting everything gathered up. I usually pull out my keys and put them in my bag as I'm getting my office keys out while I'm getting out the car (talk about multi-tasking) but this time I opened the door and the key reminder thinger started beeping and so I pulled the key out a wee bit, but couldn't put it in the bag because I had a couple things to grab, then grabbed my bag and then pushed the door further open and flipped the lock and had a peek inside to make sure I grabbed everything and SLAM I closed the door and happily headed upstairs and into work, none the wiser of the misery I would experience later. The day flew by and before I knew it quitting time had arrived. I was happy about heading home and called the kidlets to let them know I was getting out at a semi-reasonable time. When I grabbed my jacket it felt funny. As I swung it around, it didn't have the same weight that it usually has. It didn't lean to the right like it usually does. Something wasn't right and as I slipped my arm into the sleeve a sniggle of a thought started way back somewhere in the wee bit o' brain I have left. I smacked my pocket and noted with alarm that my hand hit nothing solid. Oh oh... a tad more worried now. Check the purse, check the bag, maybe in the desk, oh man, where did I? Call security, "did anyone turn in a set ..." No luck. (Is it really luck or just providence or life or?) Start heading to the parking lot, call Dadums and ask if he would be able to bring in the spare key he has or if he would rather I just call a locksmith, get to the car - yup, there they are - barely hanging from the ignition. He graciously drove in and dropped off the key. Everything worked out fine - the day just ended a little later than usual.
