Oops ... too quick on the keys

In the process of adding KVS's picture to my last post I somehow pressed publish. Although I can go back and change that one, I've decided to start a new one because ... oh, just because.

Talking with KVS about what she's doing tonight and what everyone else is doing. There are a couple of places I would like to be, so it's really just a matter of deciding what I'm doing - but I haven't figured that out yet.

Another aside - did I mention KVS and I got haircuts last night? Mine is a little wonky, kind of sideways cut bangs that lean if I blowdry them one way or look like they're straight cut if I blowdry the other way. Kind of kewl. KVS got a schwack of hair taken off - she's got so damn much of it! [Such a beautiful girl, with an intelligence she doesn't even realize she possesses yet. So much potential and I'm sure she will be successful at whatever she chooses. She just needs to get her butt in gear so far as school and priorities and such.]

So back to happenings for tonight. Well, Dadums and I talked about catching a movie. I also have offers from a few different friends to go to things including sitting around watching movies, playing wonky games, going down to tour Whyte or Sir Winston Churchill for the fireworks, hitting up a club, meeting some new friends at a club to help celebrate another friend's b-day, and just staying home with my book, a candle and the bathtub (maybe I could borrow Dadums' bath pillow). Too many choices and time is passing quickly.

I hope that whatever you do, you choose to do it safely. I am so sick and tired of hearing about these drunk and drugged driving accidents. Another man lost his life yesterday in a horrendous accident. If you imbibe any alcohol or other substances (including many of you who take prescription drugs) then make a mature, rational decision to avoid operating any machinery or vehicles. Period. Stay somewhere safe, call your family and see if someone can pick you up, walk, call a taxi, whatever, but do not get into a vehicle with someone behind the wheel who is under the influence of anything more the Diet Pepsi or coffee. If your mom is going to be pissed at you or your wife will find out you've been screwing around or you can't get the escort to come to your place, whatever ... it doesn't matter. Dead is dead. Whether it is you, your passenger or a stranger, some will lose a life if you get behind the wheel under the influence of anything. A 2000 lb piece of metal and plastic hurling down a road at 110 km/h can do just a wee bit of damage. Even if you're not going that fast - what chance do you have against a light post or guard rail? Just don't do it.

Okay, a wee bit too quick on the fingers again, but I'm just going to add onto this one. I keep pressing Ctrl-S (because that's what I do at work to save when I'm typing things up) but when you're in blogger that means publish! Oh well.

Will probably not write any more tonight, unless I choose to stay home and spend time with myself. Take care of you and yours.

Toodles.
